This service provides basically the same information as a Life Care Plan. However, there are several differences between the two.
This service is much less "formal" than a complete Life Care Plan
MCPA cost much less than a Life Care Plan. It does not have to be done by a certified LCP, experienced Case Managers do these analyses frequently.
There is usually not a need for the Consultant to interview the injured/ill person, nor to contact treatment providers, unless specifically requested by the Referral Souce.
Can be done "hypothetically" only, with little medical information being provided.
Can be done based on medical reports that are "available", if there are any critical "gaps" in the information provided, the Consultant will advise the Referral Source to discuss options.
